Scaly Chanterelle "Gomphus floccosus"
This specimen was encountered on the first day of autumn 2007 beside the trail on the hill alongside the Kleanza Creek canyon, a 15 minute drive east of Terrace in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. A fellow photographer and I were greeted by numerous different types of fungi beside the trail and also the road leading into the campground, making for a wonderful photographic day!
